June 18, 2026 for the first-half real-estate taxes (extended from June 5 for 2026) and December 5, 2026 for the second half.
Rate information
$0.64 per $100 of assessed value based on 100% valuation.

Exemption filing

January 1–April 1, 2026 for the annual elderly/disabled real-estate tax-relief application; no general Virginia homestead exemption.

Senior relief

Rockbridge provides relief for owners age 65+ or permanently and totally disabled who own and occupy the sole dwelling. Gross combined income must not exceed $50,000 and combined net financial worth must not exceed $200,000, excluding the dwelling and up to two acres; annual application is due by April 1.

Valuation limits

Rockbridge taxes real estate at 100% valuation; the reviewed official sources do not publish a general local annual valuation cap. GIS and assessment data are separate from the county's use-value and relief programs.
