Senior relief
Botetourt offers real-estate tax relief for elderly or disabled homeowners based on income and net worth; the official 2026 reassessment page states age 65+ or permanent/total disability, household income under $50,000, and assets under $185,000 excluding the home and up to two acres.
Valuation limits
No general annual cap verified. Botetourt assesses at 100% market value; the County extended its reassessment cycle from four to five years, with updated values taking effect in 2029. Land-use assessment and relief programs are separate from a cap.
