- $0.41 per $100 assessed value; official Bedford County tax page states this current rate and 2026 bills use the county levy.

January 2–February 28, 2026 for the annual elderly/disabled real-estate tax-relief application.
Senior relief
Bedford County may grant partial real-estate relief to a primary-residence owner age 65+ or permanently/totally disabled with household income under $50,000 and net worth under $150,000; 2026 applications were due February 28. The County’s program also provides graduated relief based on tax due.
Valuation limits
No general annual cap verified. Bedford conducts a four-year general reassessment to 100% market value; qualifying land-use assessment and local elderly/disabled or disabled-veteran relief are separate programs.
