Senior relief

Residents age 65+ and certain disabled persons may qualify for real-estate-tax exemption and/or deferral based on annual income and assets excluding the home; applications are required annually; contact the Commissioner at 540-462-3701.

Valuation limits

No general annual valuation cap verified. Lexington contracts professional assessors on a four-year cycle; the 2026 general reassessment is effective July 1, 2026, with values based on fair-market valuation.
