Exemption filing

January 1–April 1 annually for Page County tax relief for the elderly; Virginia has no general homestead exemption.

Senior relief

Page County elderly relief: applicant must be at least 65 or totally disabled as of December 31 of the preceding year; combined income must not exceed the latest Page County median household income and net worth must not exceed $114,000. Relief is 100%, 50%, or 25% based on income percentage of the county median. 100% service-connected disabled veterans and qualifying surviving spouses may also qualify.

Valuation limits

General reassessment normally occurs every four years; Virginia requires assessment at fair market value and no general local annual valuation cap was verified.
