Exemption filing

April 1, 2026 for the County's elderly/disabled real-estate tax-relief application.

Senior relief

Rockingham County provides real-estate tax relief for qualifying elderly or disabled owners based on income and net worth; the official page states applications must be filed by April 1.

Valuation limits

No general annual valuation cap verified. Virginia real estate is assessed at 100% fair-market value; Rockingham's land-use assessment is a separate qualifying-use program.
