These are the dates and qualifications recorded in the directory. Confirm your tax year and current deadline with the official office and your property’s notice.

Payment deadline
November 15, 2025; January 15, 2026; March 15, 2026; and May 15, 2026 (four quarterly real-estate installments for FY 2026).
Rate information
$0.84 per $100 of assessed value for FY 2026 (July 1, 2025–June 30, 2026).

Exemption filing

August 1, 2026 for the annual elderly/disabled real-estate-tax-relief application; applications become available in June.

Senior relief

Owners age 65+ or permanently disabled may qualify if they live in the home and meet the published $50,200 annual-income and $100,000 net-worth limits, excluding the dwelling; annual application required. Disabled-veteran exemption is separate.

Valuation limits

No general annual valuation cap verified. Lynchburg reassesses real estate biennially; the 2025 reassessment is used for FY 2026 and the next city-wide reassessment is effective July 1, 2027.
