Exemption filing

April 1 annually for the elderly-and-disabled tax-relief certification/affidavit; the Commissioner page links the revised 2026 materials.

Senior relief

Middlesex elderly-and-disabled relief: age 65 by December 31 of the preceding year or disabled; annual income/assets eligibility limits apply, with a maximum exemption of $750; annual certification is due April 1.

Valuation limits

Virginia 100% fair-market-value assessment; 2026 countywide reassessment is underway; no general local annual valuation cap was verified.
