Senior relief
2026 program: household income $0–$20,000 receives 80% exemption, $20,001–$30,000 50%, $30,001–$40,000 20%, and over $40,000 none; maximum annual exemption $500; eligibility is administered by the Commissioner.
Valuation limits
No general valuation cap; Virginia requires fair-market-value assessment. Henry adopted biennial reassessment in 2026, with reassessment values effective January 1, 2026; land-use assessment is a separate tax deferral.
