Rate information
$0.58 per $100 of assessed value for 2026; the official Treasurer page also lists $2.25 personal property and $1.75 machinery-and-tools rates.

Senior relief

Grayson administers a real-estate tax-relief program for elderly and disabled residents based on income and net worth; the official 2026 page directs applicants to the Commissioner at 276-773-2381 for current limits and forms.

Valuation limits

Virginia requires assessment at 100% of fair-market value; Grayson conducts a general reassessment every six years (next reassessment information gathering in 2027 for tax year 2028). No general annual valuation cap was verified; land-use treatment is separate.
