Exemption filing

April 1, 2026 for the 2026 elderly/disabled relief application and supporting documents.

Senior relief

Clarke County relief is for an owner age 65 in the prior year and/or a permanently/totally disabled owner of a primary residence, with household income below $55,000 and net worth below $250,000 excluding the residence and one acre. The official 2026 checklist requires completed documents by April 1.

Valuation limits

No general annual valuation cap verified; assessments are at 100% current market value, reassessment is every four years, and the current reassessment took effect in 2025. Land-use and tax relief are separate programs.
