Senior relief

Pennsylvania Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program: homeowners/renters age 65+, widows/widowers age 50+, and people with disabilities age 18+; 2025 household income limit $48,110; maximum standard rebate $1,000; applications for 2025 taxes due December 31, 2026. Valuation limits

Schuylkill County's 2026 Act 50 Homestead Exclusion removes the first $20,000 of assessed value from county real-property taxation for applicable homesteads. The 2026 reassessment uses 100% of January 1, 2025 market value; this is not a universal annual cap.
