Exemptions & appeals

Exemption filing

June 30, 2026; the official St. Martin FAQ lists June 30 as the homestead filing deadline.

Valuation limits

No general annual parcel-assessment growth cap was verified. Louisiana requires real property reassessment at least every four years; qualifying Special Assessment Level homesteads may freeze assessed value subject to statutory exceptions, while millage changes can still change taxes.

For a valuation appeal, use the appeal date in the tax and filing section above. Keep your notice, supporting evidence, and proof of submission.
