Payment deadline
December 31, 2026; the official Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Tax Department states the deadline without penalty is December 31 each year.
Assessment appeal

Senior relief

Special Assessment Level assessed-value freeze: qualifying homestead owners age 65 or older, permanently and totally disabled owners, and qualifying disabled veterans may qualify with adjusted gross income of $100,000 or less as stated by the assessor; the freeze does not freeze millage or taxes.
