These are the dates and qualifications recorded in the directory. Confirm your tax year and current deadline with the official office and your property’s notice.

Tax bill mailing
Late January 2027; Douglas County states property-tax billing statements/notifications are mailed annually in late January.
Payment deadline
For 2026 property taxes payable in 2027: taxes are due January 1, 2027; amounts over $25 may be paid in two equal installments, with the first half due by February 28, 2027 and the second half by June 15, 2027, or paid in full by April 30, 2027. Colorado county treasurers apply delinquent interest after the applicable deadline; a statutory weekend/holiday adjustment may apply.
Assessment appeal
May 1 through June 8, 2026 for real property; business personal property objections run June 15 through June 30, 2026.

July 15, 2026 for Douglas County's standard Senior Exemption application; the county page also notes an extension to August 15, 2026.

Senior relief

Douglas County's Senior Exemption generally requires age 65+ as of January 1, 10 consecutive years of ownership and primary-residence occupancy, and provides 50% of the first $200,000 of actual value exempted. Surviving spouses and qualifying disabled veterans may have separate relief; the county page also describes portability for 2025/2026.
