Senior relief
2026 local relief for elderly/disabled owners: age 65+ or permanently disabled, gross income no more than $55,000, and capital assets no more than $125,000 excluding the dwelling and five acres; annual filing/recertification January 1–March 1.
Valuation limits
Virginia requires 100% fair-market-value assessment; no general annual valuation cap verified. The 2026 county tax rate varies by district; a 2027 general reassessment is announced separately.
