Exemption filing

February 1–April 1, 2026 for prior-year elderly/permanently disabled relief recipients; new applicants may file anytime during the current year.

Senior relief

Dinwiddie provides real-property relief for senior citizens and permanently and totally disabled persons, subject to local requirements and application documentation. The county’s 2026 dates page lists February 1–April 1 for prior recipients and anytime in the current year for new applicants.

Valuation limits

No general annual valuation cap verified; Virginia law requires local real-estate assessments at 100% of fair-market value. Local land-use and tax-relief programs may reduce taxable value but are not valuation caps.
