- Typically late September for County bills and early December for Town of Culpeper bills (official 2026 assessment portal; exact dates not published).
- Payment deadline
- December 5, 2026; official Treasurer guidance says routine property taxes are due December 5.
- Rate information
- $0.45 per $100 of assessed value for Culpeper County real estate in 2026; the Town of Culpeper rate is separate.

Senior relief
Culpeper relief is available to qualifying owners age 65+ or permanently and totally disabled. Gross household income must be no more than $60,000, net worth no more than $300,000 excluding the residence and up to 10 acres, and relief is up to $1,500; annual renewal is required.
Valuation limits
No general annual valuation cap verified; Virginia law requires local real-estate assessments at 100% of fair-market value. Local land-use and tax-relief programs may reduce taxable value but are not valuation caps.
