- Payment deadline
- For the 2026 tax year, Cass County taxes are due upon receipt and after December 31, 2026 late charges apply; the county states a December 31 postmark is timely.
- Assessment appeal
- July 13, 2026; Cass County’s official appeal guidance requires the Board of Equalization form to be returned postmarked by that date. The Missouri State Tax Commission complaint deadline is September 30, 2026, or within 30 days after the Board decision, whichever is later.

Cass County Senior Citizen Real Estate Tax Credit under Senate Bill 190: eligible applicant is a Cass County resident age 62 or older who owns or has a legal/equitable interest in a primary-residence homestead and is liable for its real-property taxes. The county publishes the program and application information; current 2026 enrollment dates were not published on the page reviewed.
Valuation limits
No general local annual valuation cap was verified. Cass County’s SB 190 senior credit limits eligible tax liability rather than market or assessed value; Missouri uses odd-year reassessment and 12%/19%/32% statutory ratios.
