Payment deadline
FY2027 taxes are levied July 1, 2026; annual/first semiannual payment is due September 30, 2026 and the second semiannual payment is due December 31, 2026. The 2026 Queen Anne's County tax sale is May 19, 2026.
Assessment appeal
Appeal the SDAT assessment within 45 days of the 2026 notice date; Maryland Tax Court appeal is within 30 days of a Property Tax Assessment Appeals Board order. See https://assessmentappeals.dat.maryland.gov/start.aspx.
Rate information
FY2027 county real-property rate for July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027: $0.8000 per $100 assessed value; municipal rates vary.

Exemption filing

Senior relief

Queen Anne's County offers an age-65+ retired/disabled-veteran or surviving-spouse county credit; applications for the upcoming tax year are due June 15. The county also offers a tax-deferral program for people over 65; applications are due June 1.

Valuation limits

FY2027 local Homestead Credit cap is 5%; Maryland's state cap is 10%. The credit limits taxable-assessment increases for an eligible principal residence, not market value.
