Tax bill mailing
July 2026; Anne Arundel County states real-property tax bills are mailed in July, but the exact day was not verified.
Payment deadline
July 1, 2026 tax year; annual bills and first semiannual installments are due September 30, 2026, and the second semiannual installment is due December 31, 2026; interest begins October 1 for unpaid annual/first installments.
Assessment appeal
Within 45 days of the date on the Maryland SDAT Notice of Assessment; a PTAAB appeal follows within 30 days of the supervisor's final notice.

FY2026–2027: $0.968 county + $0.112 state = $1.080 per $100 assessed value outside Annapolis and Highland Beach; municipal totals vary.

Exemption filing

Homestead Tax Credit eligibility is a one-time application for the principal residence; the separate 2026 Maryland Homeowners' Property Tax Credit application deadline is October 1, 2026.

Senior relief

Anne Arundel County elderly/disabled deferral: owner or co-owner age 62+ (or qualifying permanent disability), five consecutive years of principal-residence occupancy, and combined gross income not over $55,000; election before June 1 is required for the succeeding taxable year. The 2026 state Homeowners' Tax Credit deadline is October 1, 2026.

Valuation limits

2% maximum annual taxable-assessment increase for eligible owner-occupied properties under the July 1, 2026 Maryland county homestead assessment-cap schedule; Anne Arundel County also maintains a separate elderly/disabled tax-deferral program.
