These are the dates and qualifications recorded in the directory. Confirm your tax year and current deadline with the official office and your property’s notice.

Tax bill mailing
November 2026; the official assessor FAQ states tax bills are mailed in November.
Payment deadline
December 31, 2026; Louisiana parish property taxes are due and payable by December 31, 2026 and become delinquent January 1, 2027, with applicable interest and penalties thereafter.
Assessment appeal
2026 assessment review deadline August 31, 2026; Parish Board of Review appeal deadline September 14, 2026 at 4:30 p.m.

Senior relief

2026 Senior Freeze: owner age 65+ with homestead exemption and maximum adjusted gross income of $102,700; assessed value may be frozen, but millage and total taxes may still change. Disability and veteran disability freezes also exist.

Valuation limits

No general annual assessment cap was verified; St. Tammany's official FAQ describes Louisiana reappraisal-year phase-in of additional residential homestead tax liability when assessed value increases by more than 50%, over four years. Special assessment freezes are separate and do not freeze millage.
