Exemption filing

December 31, 2026; the applicant must own, occupy, and maintain the residence as of January 1 and submit the application to the local PVA.

Senior relief

Kentucky homestead exemption for qualifying homeowners age 65 or older or totally disabled who own and occupy the residence as of January 1. The 2025-2026 exemption is $49,100 against assessed value.
