Exemption filing

July 15, 2026 for the Colorado Senior Homestead Exemption; Weld County states the senior program generally requires age 65+ on January 1, 10-year ownership/occupancy, and timely county-assessor filing.

Senior relief

Weld County's senior homestead exemption provides, when funded, 50% of the first $200,000 of actual value. General eligibility is age 65+ as of January 1, ownership and primary-residence occupancy for at least 10 consecutive years. Weld also publishes a portable senior classification with a separate March 15 deadline for the 2025/26 cycle.
