These are the dates and qualifications recorded in the directory. Confirm your tax year and current deadline with the official office and your property’s notice.

Tax bill mailing
Third week of January 2027 (approximately); the official Treasurer page says tax notices are mailed the third week of January.
Payment deadline
For 2026 taxes payable in 2027: full payment due April 30, 2027; or first half due February 28, 2027 and second half June 15, 2027. Hinsdale states 1% monthly delinquent interest applies after the applicable deadline.
Assessment appeal
May 1 through June 8, 2026 under Colorado's standard real-property protest period; a separate county-specific 2026 cutoff was not published in the official source reviewed.

July 15, 2026 under Colorado's Senior Homestead Exemption schedule; the county's official pages link applicants to the state forms and assessor.

Senior relief

Colorado's senior exemption generally requires age 65+ as of January 1, ownership and primary-residence occupancy for at least 10 consecutive years, and provides 50% of the first $200,000 of actual value exempted.
