- Early May 2026; the official FAQ states calendar-year tax bills are usually sent in early May.
- Payment deadline
- June 20, 2026 (75% due) and December 5, 2026 (remaining 25% due); if a due date falls when the office is closed, payment is accepted the next business day without penalty.
- Assessment appeal
- Informal appeal within 30 calendar days of the assessment notice mailing, followed by a 30-day formal written appeal period to the Board of Equalization.

- $0.91 per $100 of assessed value for January 1, 2026 real-estate assessments.

Valuation limits
No general annual valuation cap verified. Staunton reassesses real estate every two years in odd-numbered years at fair-market value; the next reassessment is effective January 1, 2027.
