Exemption filing

April 1 annually for elderly-and-disabled tax relief; the applicant must own and reside in the home as of January 1.

Senior relief

Norton elderly/disabled relief: age 65 or totally/permanently disabled; annual household income up to $15,000 and net worth up to $25,000 excluding the residence; maximum relief is $100; application deadline April 1. A 100% service-connected disabled-veteran exemption is also listed.

Valuation limits

Property is assessed January 1 with reassessment every four years; no general local annual valuation cap was verified.
