Payment deadline
2025 real-estate taxes payable in 2026: first half due February 13, 2026; second half due July 10, 2026. Manufactured-home first half due March 6, 2026; second half due August 7, 2026.
Assessment appeal
January 1–March 31, 2026 for tax year 2025 payable in 2026; Knox County says Board of Revision complaints are accepted annually in that period using DTE 1.

Exemption filing

December 31, 2026 for the 2026 real-property application; the Knox County Auditor's 2026 guidance confirms the $41,000 2025 Ohio AGI limit for new applicants.

Senior relief

Knox County's homestead page: age 65+, permanently and totally disabled, eligible surviving spouse, or qualifying disabled veteran; own and occupy the principal residence January 1. The 2025 Ohio AGI limit for 2026/2027 real-estate tax is $41,000; 2013 recipients remain grandfathered from the means test.

Valuation limits

Knox County explains Ohio HB 920 fixed-income/reduction-factor protection and 10-mill inside millage; Ohio HB 186's automatic Inflation Cap Credit applies to qualifying 2025 tax-year bills payable in 2026, not as a general parcel-value cap.
