Harrison County describes filing by the first Monday in June for the current year; for the 2026 application, use the county's form/instructions and the state DTE 105A December 31 deadline.
Senior relief
Ohio Homestead Exemption: qualifying homeowners age 65+, permanently and totally disabled homeowners, and eligible surviving spouses may receive up to a $29,000 market-value reduction for 2026; new applicants use the $41,000 2025-income limit and must own and occupy on January 1.
Valuation limits
Ohio HB 186 (effective 2026) creates an Inflation Cap Credit limiting growth of qualifying unvoted school-district millage to inflation; HB 335 limits inside-millage growth. These affect tax collection, not a general parcel appraised-value cap.
For a valuation appeal, use the appeal date in the tax and filing section above. Keep your notice, supporting evidence, and proof of submission.
