September 1, 2026; Granville County offers a 1.5% discount for current taxes paid July 1-August 15 and says interest begins after January 5, 2027.

Exemption filing

June 1, 2026; Granville County states applications for the elderly/disabled exclusion, circuit-breaker deferment, and disabled-veteran exclusion are due June 1.

Senior relief

2026 NC AV-9 relief: Elderly or Disabled Exclusion for a qualifying owner age 65+ or totally and permanently disabled, with combined 2025 income no more than $38,800, excludes the greater of $25,000 or 50% of the appraised permanent residence; Disabled Veteran Exclusion up to $45,000; Circuit Breaker for qualifying owners age 65+ or totally/permanently disabled who owned and occupied the residence for five years, with 2025 income up to $58,200 (taxes limited to 4% or 5% of income); application due June 1, 2026 to the county assessor.

Valuation limits

No general local parcel-value cap verified. Granville County's current valuation became effective January 1, 2024 and the county revalues every six years; qualifying present-use-value land and NC relief programs are not a general annual cap.
