- Tax bill mailing
- 2026–2027 secured real-property tax bills were mailed in July 2026; Carson City stated customers should receive them by July 31, 2026.
- Payment deadline
- 2026–2027 secured real-property tax bills are mailed in July 2026. Installments are due August 17, 2026; October 5, 2026; January 4, 2027; and March 1, 2027, with a 10-day grace period under Nevada law.
- Assessment appeal
- For the 2026–2027 secured roll, appeal to the Carson City Board of Equalization no later than January 16, 2026; appeal to the State Board of Equalization no later than March 11, 2026.

For secured real property for fiscal year 2026–2027, eligible veteran, disabled-veteran, surviving-spouse, and blind exemptions must be applied for on or before June 15, 2026; personal-property or motor-vehicle applications may be filed by the tax due date.
Valuation limits
Nevada AB 489 / NRS 361.4723 provides a 3% tax-bill cap for an owner-occupied primary residence or qualifying rental dwelling; Carson City lists a 6.9% alternative cap for 2026–2027 for other property. Nevada does not cap assessed values; new construction, additions, parcel changes, and changes of use can fall outside the cap.
