The official Rapides Parish Assessor FAQ describes Special Assessment Level freezes for senior citizens, permanently disabled homeowners, disabled veterans, and qualifying military-survivor spouses. The freeze applies to assessed value only; millage changes can still change taxes, and a signed application is required.
For a valuation appeal, use the appeal date in the tax and filing section above. Keep your notice, supporting evidence, and proof of submission.
