December 31, 2026 for 2026 ownership/occupancy eligibility; the owner must own and occupy the residence on January 1, and the reviewed parish source did not publish a separate administrative cutoff.
Senior relief
Louisiana Special Assessment Level may freeze the assessed value of an eligible senior or disabled homestead as described above. Grant's official exemption page also describes additional disabled-veteran exemptions of up to $100,000, $120,000, or 100% depending on the service-connected rating, plus a surviving-spouse exemption in qualifying cases.
