These are the dates and qualifications recorded in the directory. Confirm your tax year and current deadline with the official office and your property’s notice.

Tax bill mailing
Last week of November 2026; the official assessor states tax bills are generally mailed on or around the last week of November.
Payment deadline
December 31, 2026; official assessor information states property taxes are due and payable by December 31 and become delinquent thereafter.

Exemptions & appeals

Exemption filing

December 31, 2026; Louisiana law requires the homeowner to own and occupy the residence by December 31 of the applicable tax year.

Senior relief

Special Assessment Level: one owner must be at least 65, combined adjusted gross income must not exceed $102,700, and the owner must own, occupy, and receive homestead exemption; qualifying disabled owners may also qualify.
