Senior relief
Special Assessment Level relief is available for qualifying senior citizens, disabled veterans, permanently disabled homeowners, and certain military surviving spouses. It freezes eligible homestead assessed value but not millage; age, income, and other documentation may be required.
Valuation limits
No general annual cap verified. The assessor states Louisiana reassesses real property every four years; eligible Special Assessment Level homesteads may have assessed value frozen, while millage remains subject to change.
