For 2026 (payable 2027), Edgar County's official assessor page states the Low-Income Senior Citizen Assessment Freeze household-income limit is $75,000. The Senior Citizens Homestead Exemption reduces EAV by $5,000; the senior freeze preserves the base-year EAV and does not freeze tax rates.
For a valuation appeal, use the appeal date in the tax and filing section above. Keep your notice, supporting evidence, and proof of submission.
