Payment deadline
December 20, 2026 in most years; the official Walker County Tax Commissioner site states taxes are due 60 days after notices are mailed and in most years this is December 20.
Assessment appeal
45 days from the mailing date of the notice of assessment; the appeal is filed with the county Board of Tax Assessors and must be postmarked by that deadline.

Walker County's official tax information describes a property-tax deferral program for qualifying homestead owners age 62+ with gross household income of $15,000 or less; statewide Georgia exemptions may also apply.
