Tax bill mailing
August 15, 2026; Floyd County's official Tax Commissioner page states tax bills will be mailed August 15.
Payment deadline
November 15, 2026; Floyd County's official Tax Commissioner page states payment is due November 15 and interest/penalties begin November 16.
Assessment appeal
45 days from the date of the assessment notice; Floyd County's official assessor page states property owners have 45 days to appeal.

Exemption filing

April 1, 2026; Floyd County's official exemptions page states qualifying homestead applications may be filed through April 1 of the following year.

Senior relief

Georgia's statewide relief includes a $4,000 county ad valorem exemption for qualifying homeowners age 65+ with prior-year income below the statutory limit, a school-tax exemption for qualifying owners age 62+, and a floating inflation-proof county homestead exemption for qualifying owners age 62+ with household income below the statutory limit. Local amounts and eligibility must be confirmed with the county tax office.
