- Tax bill mailing
- Late August 2026; Forsyth County's official Tax Commissioner page states property-tax bills are mailed in late August each year.
- Payment deadline
- November 15, 2026; Forsyth County's official Tax Commissioner page states payment is due November 15.
- Assessment appeal
- 45 days from the mailing date of the notice of assessment; the appeal is filed with the county Board of Tax Assessors and must be postmarked by that deadline.

April 1, 2026; Forsyth County's official assessor page states 2026 homestead applications are closed after the current-year filing window; the standard deadline is April 1.
Senior relief
Forsyth County's official homestead information lists an age-65+ 100% local school-tax and bond exemption when combined with the standard homestead, plus an L7 floating exemption; income-based programs may also be available for age-62+ owners.
