Exemptions & appeals

Exemption filing

March 2, 2026 for timely 2026 exemption filing; Broward also published September 18, 2026 as its late-filing deadline.

Senior relief

Broward provides senior and other exemption programs through the Property Appraiser; the reviewed official pages did not publish one countywide 2026 senior-income/benefit amount because eligibility varies by program and local adoption.

Valuation limits

Florida Save Our Homes generally limits annual homestead assessed-value growth to the lesser of 3% or the CPI change; the cap is state-law based and does not apply to every property or taxing component.

For a valuation appeal, use the appeal date in the tax and filing section above. Keep your notice, supporting evidence, and proof of submission.
