- Tax bill mailing
- Mid-January 2027; Prowers County's official Treasurer calendar states tax bills are mailed in mid-January.
- Payment deadline
- For 2026 property taxes payable in 2027: taxes are due January 1, 2027; amounts over $25 may be paid in two equal installments, with the first half due by February 28, 2027 and the second half by June 15, 2027, or paid in full by April 30, 2027. Colorado county treasurers apply delinquent interest after the applicable deadline; a statutory weekend/holiday adjustment may apply.

Senior relief
Colorado's senior exemption generally requires age 65+ as of January 1, ownership and primary-residence occupancy for at least 10 consecutive years, and provides 50% of the first $200,000 of actual value exempt when funded. Applications are due July 15.
