Exemptions & appeals

Exemption filing

At least 30 days before the applicable tax payment due date for the senior/disabled deferral program; the separate senior/disabled exemption application is available through the Clark County Assessor's online portal and county program page.

Senior relief

Clark County administers Washington senior/disabled property-tax exemption and deferral programs. The exemption is available to qualifying owners age 61+ or disabled and can lower taxes and freeze taxable value; the deferral program generally requires age 60+ or disability, primary residence, household disposable income no more than $65,548, and filing at least 30 days before a tax payment is due.

Valuation limits

Washington's 1% limit applies to taxing-district tax revenue, not individual taxpayers or assessed values. Clark County assesses market value annually; individual values and tax bills can increase more or less than 1%, while voter-approved levies are outside the limit.

For a valuation appeal, use the appeal date in the tax and filing section above. Keep your notice, supporting evidence, and proof of submission.
