April 1, 2026 for senior/disabled real-estate tax-relief applications and recertification.

Senior relief

Charlottesville relief is for owners age 65+ or permanently/totally disabled as of December 31 of the prior year who occupy the sole dwelling and have combined federal AGI no higher than $65,000. TY2026 relief tiers are 100% at $0–39,000, 80% at $39,001–52,000, 60% at $52,001–58,500, and 40% at $58,501–65,000.

Valuation limits

No general annual valuation cap verified; Charlottesville assesses annually at fair market value as of January 1 and administers tax-relief/homeowner-assistance programs separately.
