For the 2026 credit year, Ohio DTE 105A homestead applications must be filed by December 31, 2026; the county states the first reduction appears on tax bills received the following year.
Senior relief
Ohio Homestead Program: qualifying homeowners age 65 or older, permanently and totally disabled homeowners, and eligible surviving spouses may qualify if they own and occupy the principal residence on January 1 and meet the applicable income rules. The county also lists an enhanced exemption for qualifying 100% service-connected disabled veterans and surviving spouses.
Valuation limits
Ohio has no general countywide parcel-value cap published by Wyandot County. The county Treasurer notes the 2026 Inflation Cap Credit for qualifying parcels under recent state legislation; Ohio's regular system uses 35% assessment, six-year reappraisals, triennial updates, and HB 920 reduction factors rather than a general value cap.
