Exemption filing

June 1, 2026 for elderly/disabled and disabled-veteran tax relief; Hoke County's 2026 tax notice also identifies January 1-31 as the listing period for other exemptions and present-use-value applications.

Senior relief

Hoke County's 2026 tax information identifies North Carolina elderly/disabled relief for qualifying owners age 65+ or totally and permanently disabled, and disabled-veteran relief; state-law income limits and exclusion/deferment amounts apply, and applications are due June 1, 2026.

Valuation limits

No general local annual parcel-value cap verified. North Carolina requires appraisal at true value in money and countywide reappraisal at least every eight years under N.C.G.S. §§105-283 and 105-286; present-use valuation and homestead relief programs reduce or defer taxable value but are not a general valuation cap.
