- Payment deadline
- For the 2026 tax year, Missouri real-estate and personal-property taxes are due December 31, 2026; a December 31 postmark is timely where the county accepts mailed payment.
- Assessment appeal
- July 8, 2026 by 5:00 p.m. (Callaway County’s official 2026 Assessor notice for Board of Equalization appeals). The Missouri State Tax Commission complaint deadline is September 30, 2026, or within 30 days after the county Board of Equalization decision, whichever is later.

Senior relief
Callaway County Senior Real Estate Property Tax Relief Program: 2026 application required proof of identity/age and Missouri residency, primary residence, ownership, and age 62 before January 1, 2026; the official application states completed materials were due May 31, 2026.
Valuation limits
No general local annual valuation cap was verified. Callaway’s SB 190/SB 756 senior program limits eligible homestead tax liability increases through a credit and does not cap market or assessed value; Missouri uses odd-year reassessment and 19%/12%/32% statutory ratios.
