Tax bill mailing
Fourth Wednesday of November 2026 (November 25, 2026), per the county’s published annual schedule.
Payment deadline
2026 county schedule: tax collection begins December 26, 2026; taxes are due by February 1, 2027, and a 1% penalty begins February 2, 2027.
Assessment appeal
First Monday in August 2026 (August 3, 2026), the county’s published deadline for filing assessment appeals for Board hearings.

Exemption filing

January 2 through April 1, 2026; the county page states applications begin January 2 and April 1 is the final filing day.

Senior relief

Mississippi Tier 2 homestead relief: a qualified homeowner age 65 or older or totally disabled by January 1, 2026 is exempt from taxes on the first $7,500 of assessed homestead value (equivalent to $75,000 of true value for Class I); proof of age or disability is required. Qualifying service-connected disabled veterans and certain surviving spouses may qualify for a total exemption under Tier 3; contact the county Tax Assessor.
