- Tax bill mailing

- Payment deadline
- 2026 Mississippi property-tax schedule: 2025 tax bills are due February 1, 2026; 2026 assessment/tax rolls are due February 1, 2027 (the February 1 following the tax year). Mississippi law permits installment payment when at least one-half is paid by the February 1 due date; remaining installments are subject to statutory interest.
- Assessment appeal
- For 2026 assessments, appeal to the county Board of Supervisors by the first Monday in August 2026 (August 3, 2026), before the tax due date; exact local hearing/open-roll dates were not published by the official county source reviewed.

January 1–April 1, 2026, at the county Tax Assessor's office during normal business hours; reapply when ownership, marital status, property description, use, occupancy, disability, or veteran status changes.
Senior relief
Mississippi special homestead exemption: a homeowner age 65 or older or totally disabled may receive an exemption on the first $75,000 of true value of the homestead; apply through the county Tax Assessor during the January 1–April 1 filing period. Additional qualifying disability and veteran exemptions may apply.
