Assessment appeal
FY2027 real-estate abatement application is due to the municipal assessors on or before the first installment due date (generally February 1 for quarterly billing); appeal to the Appellate Tax Board within 3 months after the assessors' decision or deemed denial. Valuation limits

No countywide assessment cap. Massachusetts Proposition 2½ generally limits each municipality's property-tax levy growth to 2.5% annually, subject to overrides and statutory exclusions; assessed values are set locally.
