Tax bill mailing
First week of October 2026; the Union County Sheriff's official page states property-tax bills are mailed during the first week of October each year.
Payment deadline
2026 county schedule: 2% discount October 1-November 1; face amount November 2-December 31; 5% penalty January 1-31, 2027; 10% penalty plus sheriff's add-on February 1-April 15, 2027.
Assessment appeal
May 4-May 18, 2026 standard tax-roll inspection and required PVA conference; appeal to the county clerk by May 19, 2026. County-specific alternate dates were not verified.

Senior relief

Kentucky homestead exemption: $49,100 reduction for 2025-2026 assessment years; owner must be 65+ or totally disabled, own and occupy the primary residence as of January 1, and apply through the Union County PVA.
